Emelia Arthur promises to make abandoned Anomabo fisheries college operational
The Minister-Designate for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Madam Emelia Arthur, has committed to ensuring the effective and efficient operationalization of the Anomabo Fisheries College to support knowledge acquisition.
Construction of the Fisheries College began in 2013 in Anomabo but was later abandoned. However, Madam Arthur has assured that the long-awaited institution will be fully operational before the end of her tenure.
She made this promise during her appearance before Parliament’s Appointments Committee on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, for her vetting.
“That, it was under I Emelia Arthur that the long-awaited Fisheries College that we started in 2013 in Anomabo became operational. The Indigenous part is very important to me because of our fisher’s knowledge,” she said.
