We will reset our beloved nation, Ghana – President Mahama
John Dramani Mahama and his running mate, Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, were officially sworn in as Ghana’s President and Vice President, respectively, following their victory in the December 2024 elections.
The ceremony, held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra, was attended by national leaders, foreign dignitaries, and thousands of Ghanaians.
In his inaugural speech, President Mahama outlined his vision for the country’s future, focusing on efforts to “reset” the economy to ensure it serves all citizens, rather than just a privileged few.
Mahama’s return to the presidency signals a new phase in Ghana’s political landscape, with an emphasis on economic recovery, social progress, and national unity.
Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang made history as Ghana’s first female Vice President, a landmark achievement celebrated as a significant stride toward gender equality in leadership.
