President-Elect John Dramani Mahama has appointed Julius Debrah as Chief of Staff, marking his latest appointment just under 24 hours before his inauguration as president.
The announcement was made in a press release issued on Monday, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, who has been appointed Acting Spokesperson for the President-Elect.
Other Key Appointments
In the same statement, Mahama’s office revealed a range of seasoned professionals and political veterans appointed to key positions within the Office of the President.
These appointments, effective immediately after his swearing-in, are seen as part of Mahama’s efforts to swiftly establish his administration and begin governing.
The appointments are as follows:
1. Julius Debrah – Chief of Staff.
2. Dr. Callistus Mahama – Executive Secretary to the President.
3. Prosper Douglas Bani – Interim Security Taskforce.
4. Dr. Valerie Sawyerr – Senior Presidential Advisor, Governmental Affairs.
5. Augustus Goosie Tannoh – Presidential Advisor Responsible for the 24-hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development.
6. Marietta Agyeiwaa Brew – Legal Counsel to the President of Ghana.
