President Bola Tinubu assures Ghana of Nigeria’s unwavering support

The President of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu, has expressed his support for Ghana’s newly sworn-in President, John Dramani Mahama, and his vice president, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, during their inauguration ceremony.

The event took place on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra, with numerous national leaders, foreign dignitaries, and thousands of Ghanaians in attendance.

In his address, President Tinubu reaffirmed Nigeria’s steadfast commitment to supporting President John Mahama.

“Ghanaians can count on Nigerians for support at any given time.”

Speaking to the gathering, President Tinubu expressed his strong belief in President Mahama’s leadership, confidently predicting that the new administration would achieve great success and bring significant progress to the people of Ghana.

He emphasized the close relationship between the two neighboring countries, describing them as siblings, and assured the people of Ghana that Nigeria would always stand by them whenever needed.

“We are brothers and sisters and will always be there for him.”

“I’m confident that the new government under the leadership of President John Mahama will work with Nigerians to strengthen the powerful bond leading to greater progress and prosperity for the people of our two nations.”

His Excellency Bola Tinubu expressed his firm belief that John Mahama’s administration will usher in comprehensive change and progress.
