Presidency denies media claims of Presidential pardons by Akufo-Addo

The Office of the President has strongly refuted recent media claims suggesting that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has granted presidential pardons to certain individuals.
In a statement released on January 6, 2025, and signed by Eugene Arhin, the Director of Communications at Jubilee House, the Presidency categorically rejected these reports as false. “No pardon has been granted by President Akufo-Addo,” the statement clarified.
The Office urged the public to disregard any conflicting information circulating in the media, stressing that official communications from the Presidency remain the most reliable source for accurate updates.
This clarification follows rumors and unverified reports that have stirred public debate. The statement seeks to clear up any misunderstandings and reaffirm the administration’s commitment to transparency.
The public is advised to rely solely on official channels for information to prevent the spread of misinformation.
