John Mahama inaugurated as Ghana’s President

John Dramani Mahama and Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang have been officially sworn in as Ghana’s President and Vice President, following their victory in the December 2024 elections.

The historic ceremony took place at Black Star Square in Accra, attended by thousands of Ghanaians, alongside international dignitaries and regional leaders.

Mahama, who previously served as President from 2012 to 2017, returns to leadership with a renewed focus on addressing economic challenges, driving social development, and promoting national unity.

Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has made history as Ghana’s first female Vice President, a groundbreaking achievement hailed as a major milestone for gender representation in leadership.
