Parliament approves Environmental Protection bill

On Thursday, January 2, during the parliamentary session, the 2nd Deputy Speaker, Andrew Asiamah, announced, “Hon. members, the Environmental Protection Bill 2024 has now been read for the third time and passed.”
The bill includes stricter regulations on industrial emissions, waste management, and deforestation. Additionally, it sets out measures to promote renewable energy sources and encourage eco-friendly practices among businesses and individuals.
