Mahama stresses unity in Governance despite NDC parliamentary majority

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has highlighted the importance of collaboration in steering Ghana toward progress, despite the National Democratic Congress (NDC) securing a significant parliamentary majority.

Speaking at a December 31st watch night service at an Assemblies of God church in Tamale, Mahama acknowledged that while the NDC has the numbers to influence parliamentary decisions, effective governance requires the collective effort of all political factions and stakeholders.

He underscored that leadership is not a solitary effort, noting that Ghana’s transformation hinges on unified action.

Mahama called for inclusive participation, urging contributions from the New Patriotic Party (NPP), other political groups such as the Convention People’s Party (CPP), People’s National Convention (PNC), and even individuals unaffiliated with any political party.

His message emphasized the critical role of togetherness, advocating for a governance model that prioritizes the collective good over partisan divides.

Mahama’s remarks reinforce his commitment to fostering a collaborative approach as he prepares to assume the presidency.
