President-elect Mahama calls for intensified prayers in overcoming challenges

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has urged National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters to deepen their prayers, stressing the need for even greater spiritual dedication than during the election campaign.

He highlighted the importance of seeking divine guidance to empower the party with the wisdom and strength needed to improve the lives of all Ghanaians.

Speaking to NDC supporters, Mahama remarked, “This is the time we need to engage in fervent prayers more than we did during the campaign for God to grant us the strength and wisdom to implement measures that will make Ghana a better place to live. All I will say is that it is finished; God has already done it.”

Mahama also criticized the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration for leaving behind substantial debts, particularly in education and energy, which his incoming government is expected to address.

He suggested that these debts were a calculated trap by the NPP aimed at ensuring his government’s failure.

Despite these challenges, Mahama expressed confidence, stating, “The NPP government has set a trap for us. But we shall not be caught in that trap; we will escape unscathed.

The Almighty God who granted us electoral victory will see us through the difficulties ahead until we achieve success. God will give us the wisdom to lead this country and make it better for future generations.”

He also addressed the delay in disbursing funds to the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), referencing a critical Facebook post that highlighted the postponement.
