Parliament has begun the registration process for Members of Parliament-elect ahead of the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
A statement issued on December 24 announced that the process would kick off with an online phase starting Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
This will be followed by in-person registration from January 2 to January 6, 2025.
“Targeted messages inviting members will be sent to members-elect via WhatsApp or emails,” the statement noted.
It further detailed, “Physical registration will start on Thursday, 2nd January 2025, and end on 6th January 2025.”

The registration exercise marks a significant step in preparing for the swearing-in of the new Parliament.
