Adamus Resources Limited has firmly denied recent claims about the existence of an Interim Management Committee (IMC) at its Nzema Mine, asserting that the High Court has rendered these allegations unfounded and without merit.
In a statement, the company addressed misinformation that was reportedly spread by Allan Morrison, a New Zealand national, through his representatives Isaac Ackun, a Ghanaian, and Laurent Gaba, a Togolese.
These claims, circulated on various news platforms, suggested that an IMC had been denied access to the Nzema Mine after an attempted entry. Adamus Resources has categorically stated that these reports are false and misleading.
On December 12, 2024, Her Ladyship Justice Jennifer Abena Dadzie, a Justice of the Court of Appeal sitting as an additional High Court Judge, ruled that all pending interlocutory applications and orders had lapsed. This included a July 27, 2023 order, which had been cited by the alleged IMC in support of their claims.
The ruling followed an application by legal counsel for Adamus Resources Limited and Nguvu Mining Ltd to withdraw a lawsuit. A previous ruling by Justice Loddoh had also dismissed counterclaims filed by Allan Morrison and Adamus Resources Pty Ltd.
“This ruling confirms that there is no Interim Management Committee at Adamus Resources Limited,” the company stated. “The claims and subsequent media reports are entirely without legal or factual basis.”
Adamus Resources raised concerns over the motivations behind the spread of this misinformation and urged media outlets to verify facts before publishing. “These baseless reports risk damaging the company’s operations and reputation,” the statement read.
The company reassured stakeholders that any official communication would be issued through its communications bureau on the company’s official letterhead. The public was urged to disregard any claims about an IMC and to treat them “with the contempt they deserve.”
Adamus Resources reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and called on the media to report responsibly.
