Mahama urges prospective appointees to prepare for hard work
President-elect John Dramani Mahama has cautioned individuals seeking appointments in his incoming administration to be ready for diligent and accountable service.
Speaking during a courtesy visit by the Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, on December 12, Mahama emphasized that his government would prioritize hard work and sacrifice in addressing the expectations of Ghanaians.
He highlighted the electorate’s demand for effective leadership, warning that complacency and unproductiveness would not be tolerated.
Prospective appointees were advised to consider their readiness for the challenges of governance and to opt for roles in the private sector if they are unwilling to meet the rigorous demands of public service.
Mahama’s comments come shortly after being declared the winner of the 2024 general elections by the Electoral Commission on December 9, signaling his administration’s focus on delivering results and restoring public trust in leadership.
