Honourable Joseph Cudjoe, the Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency, has expressed confidence in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Lawyer Isaac Boamah, securing a resounding victory in the ongoing election.
After casting his ballot at the Alhaji Bawa House 2 polling station, Honourable Cudjoe took a moment to reflect on his own electoral history and the political climate leading up to the 2024 general elections.
He recalled his own victories with pride, emphasizing the trust the people of Effia have placed in him over the years.
In his first term as MP, Cudjoe secured a decisive win with a margin of 5,000 votes, even when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) was in power.
When the NPP came to power in the subsequent election, his margin of victory increased to 8,000 votes, demonstrating the growing support for the party and its candidates in the region.
However, in his second term, Cudjoe noted that his victory margin slightly reduced to 6,000 votes, reflecting the increasingly competitive nature of the constituency.
Looking ahead to the current election, Honourable Cudjoe is optimistic that Isaac Boamah, the NPP’s candidate, will replicate the success seen in previous years.
He believes that Boamah’s campaign resonates strongly with the people of Effia and anticipates a victory margin that could match, or even exceed, his own previous achievements.
