The Assistant Manager at the Energy Commission, Stephen Nyomo, says his outfit has introduced a new online portal to streamline the registration process for importers and manufacturers.
This digital platform enables businesses to submit the necessary documentation directly to the Commission, including documents from the Registrar General’s Department and technical specifications of imported materials.
“An online portal has been created for online registration, so importers and exporters are expected to go there and then submit all relevant documents, including Registrar General Department documentation that shows that they are legally registered in Ghana. They are supposed to attach all technical documentation of the material they intend to import,” Mr. Yomo said.
He added, “After that, the Commission will go through its verification process and then approve them to be on the register of the Energy Commission,”
