NPP dismisses PNC’s endorsement of NDC ahead of 2024 elections
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has downplayed the People’s National Convention’s (PNC) recent endorsement of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for the upcoming 2024 elections.
The endorsement, announced on November 27, followed the PNC’s disqualification from the presidential race by the Electoral Commission due to errors in its nomination forms.
NPP Deputy General Secretary Haruna Mohammed described the endorsement as insignificant, stating it was solely a decision by the PNC leadership and did not reflect the views of the party’s grassroots members.
He expressed confidence in the NPP’s ability to engage PNC supporters directly, emphasizing the need for visionary leadership to propel Ghana’s development.
The NPP maintains that this development will not affect its strategy or performance in the elections.
