John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has urged Ghanaians not to repeat the mistakes of voting for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 and 2020 elections.
Speaking at a rally at the Nsawam Adoagyiri lorry station, Mahama called on the people to seize the opportunity to improve the country’s future by voting for him and the NDC.
During the first day of his 5-day tour of the Eastern Region on November 18, Mahama noted that many NPP supporters are dissatisfied with their party’s leadership and less motivated to participate in this year’s election. He encouraged them to shift their support to the NDC, stressing the need for change.
“We made the wrong choice in 2016, and we repeated it in 2020. But on December 7, 2024, I am confident we will correct this mistake by bringing the NDC back to power,” he said.
He emphasized that wise decisions lead to progress and freedom, while poor choices lead to hardship. “This December, we have the chance to make the right choice by voting for the NDC,” he concluded.
