Kufuor criticizes NDC for halting completion of key projects from his administration
Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has expressed disappointment over the abandonment of significant infrastructure projects that his administration initiated but could not complete before leaving office.
He specifically criticized the succeeding National Democratic Congress (NDC) government for halting progress on major projects like the Accra-Kumasi Highway and the Affordable Housing initiative in Asokore Mampong.
In a conversation with journalists on November 17, Kufuor lamented that the change in government following his party’s defeat in the 2008 elections led to a lack of continuity in critical development projects.
He argued that the funds allocated for these projects belong to the state and should not be wasted due to political differences.
Kufuor underscored the importance of ensuring project continuity, irrespective of the ruling party, to avoid squandering public resources and achieve national development goals.
