Electoral Commission bolsters accuracy with recruitment of 200+ quantitative experts
The Electoral Commission (EC) has reinforced its dedication to a precise and transparent electoral process by recruiting over 200 professionals in mathematics, statistics, and related fields.
This strategic move aims to ensure an error-free election and strengthen public trust. In a November 5 media interview, Dr. Eric Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairperson of the EC, emphasized the importance of accuracy and transparency in election preparations to maintain the integrity of results.
Dr. Asare highlighted that these new recruits will apply their expertise in data analysis and vote collation to enhance the credibility of the voting process.
The EC has also enlisted over 280,000 election officials, including returning officers, to support operations at the constituency level, where these specialists will play a critical role in data management and statistical oversight.
