Mahama Criticizes NPP’s Selective Development Strategy
National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government for allegedly prioritizing development in regions based on electoral support.
During his tour of the Oti Region on November 4, Mahama argued that this approach limits equitable growth across Ghana, with areas that didn’t vote for the NPP reportedly receiving fewer resources.
Speaking at Biakoye, Mahama pledged to prioritize infrastructure in the Oti Region, vowing that an NDC government would focus on balanced development.
He emphasized that the NDC remains committed to fulfilling promises in areas like Krachi East, where he claimed the NPP neglected hospital projects due to a lack of electoral support.
The Chief of Dambai, Nana Mprah Besemuna III, praised Mahama’s past contributions to local education and healthcare and urged him to prioritize a regional hospital if elected.
Mahama, who received a warm welcome from chiefs and supporters in Dambai, reassured attendees of his commitment to addressing development disparities and fostering national unity.
