Electoral Commission praises NDC for it’s efforts in the re-exhibition of the 2024 Provisional Voters Register

During a live broadcast of the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting in Accra on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, EC Chairperson Jean Mensa praised the NDC for spearheading an initiative she described as a vital step toward enhancing transparency in the electoral process.

Mensa highlighted the Commission’s appreciation for constructive feedback from political stakeholders, stating that the NDC’s contributions were crucial in the decision to re-exhibit the voter register.

She reaffirmed the EC’s commitment to producing an accurate and credible voter’ roll, ensuring the upcoming elections are free, fair, and transparent.

“The re-exhibition of the Provisional Voter Register is a first for us, demonstrating that this Commission is attentive and receptive to feedback for the betterment of our stakeholders,” she noted.

“We are grateful to the NDC for proposing this idea, which reflects our commitment to transparency and collaboration. With this approach, we are confident we will achieve a nearly perfect final voter register in time for the December 2024 elections.”
