Kwesimintsim: Dr. Prince Hamid Armah commissions Anaji community market

Deputy Minister for Works and Housing and MP for Kwesimintsim, Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, has commissioned a newly constructed market for the residents of Anaji, a significant step in his ongoing efforts to enhance local livelihoods and stimulate trade within his constituency.

The market is designed to empower market women and foster entrepreneurship, ultimately contributing to the economic development of the area.

During an interview with the media, Dr. Hamid Armah expressed his excitement over the completion of the project, which had been stalled for years due to a lack of funding. He revealed that he took the initiative to personally finance the market’s construction, emphasizing its importance in providing a dedicated space for local vendors.

“I am very excited that I have successfully completed this project. It has stalled for years, largely because there was no proper funding source for this project. I had to personally fund this project. The original intention of this project has been achieved, which is to provide space for our market women to trade and that would essentially improve the local economy and ensure that we empower our women in terms of job creation and entrepreneurship, and then improving their income.”
