IEA sets dates for 2024 Presidential and Vice-Presidential debates ahead of elections

The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has announced October 22 and November 19, 2024, as the dates for its first and second presidential debates ahead of the December 7 elections.

In a statement, the IEA revealed plans for two Presidential Debates, one Vice Presidential Debate, and five Evening Encounters as part of its pre-election activities.

The Vice Presidential Debate is scheduled for November 5, 2024. The first of the five Evening Encounters will be held on Wednesday, September 18, with the final one taking place on Tuesday, October 15.

However, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has indicated that its flagbearer will not participate in the debates, citing concerns over the credibility of the event’s organizers.
