GUTA urges Akufo-Addo to eradicate galamsey before End of Tenure
The Ghana Union of Traders Associations (GUTA) has called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to take decisive action against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey, before his term concludes.
The union believes that eliminating this practice, which is depleting the nation’s resources, would be a significant achievement for the president’s legacy.
Dr. Joseph Obeng, President of GUTA, expressed the union’s hopes that the president would respond to the many appeals for swift action to put an end to the galamsey crisis.
