Disregard claims of secret recruitment at Kumasi training school -Ghana Police

Ghana Police Service has urged the public to disregard rumours of a secret recruitment at the Kumasi Police Training School.

The Ghana Police Service has urged the public to disregard rumours of a secret recruitment allegedly taking place at the Kumasi Police Training School in the Ashanti region.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the police clarified that a special operation was conducted in Kumasi, leading to the arrest of 487 suspects linked to the QNET Ponzi scheme on Monday, September 2. Due to the large number of suspects, they were taken to the training school for screening as part of the investigation.

The police further explained that members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) had arrived at the training school, claiming to have heard of a secret recruitment. However, upon discovering the claim was false, the NDC members left the premises.

“However, while the screening was ongoing, some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) besieged the training school claiming they had heard of an ongoing secret recruitment at the school,” it added.

The police urged the public to ignore the recruitment rumours, labelling them as baseless.

“We, therefore, urge the public to disregard the claim of the said secret recruitment exercise and treat it with the contempt it deserves,” it added.
