Cheddar unveils plan to create 8 million jobs in 10 years
Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar and leader of the New Force Movement, has announced an ambitious plan to generate 8 million jobs over the next decade.
This initiative is part of a broader strategy aimed at reducing unemployment and driving economic growth across Ghana.
Cheddar’s plan targets key sectors such as industry, mineral resources, and agriculture, with significant investments intended to create a wide range of job opportunities for people with diverse skills and educational backgrounds.
Speaking at the launch of the New Force Movement’s 12 pillars for economic revolution in Accra on Sunday, Cheddar emphasized the importance of investing in all 16 regions of Ghana. He outlined plans to establish industrial plants for refining minerals and processing plants for agricultural products.
“We start by making sure that we invest in all the 16 regions that are industrial, plant to able to able to refine all our minerals and then processing plants to able to process all our agro plants.”
“Our research shows that the country’s mineral wealth, including gold, iron ore, gas, bauxite, lithium, and diamond, combined with the potential of agro-processing, amounts to $2.5 trillion,” Cheddar stated. “We are determined to unlock the wealth of every region, aiming for an economic output of $4.7 trillion and the creation of 8 million jobs within a decade.”
