Residents of Appiatse Move into New Apartments
Residents of Appiatse near Bogoso in the Western Region who were slated to benefit from the area’s reconstruction housing scheme have begun moving into their new homes.
This follows the official inauguration of the first phase of the community’s reconstruction by Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia several months ago.
The government had committed to rebuilding around 124 housing units destroyed in the community, and it has now delivered on that promise. The new project includes 124 modern housing units, ranging from one to seven bedrooms, equipped with high-quality sanitary facilities.
According to Mr. Thomas Yaw Enyam, the Assembly Member for the Bepoh-Apiate Electoral Area, approximately 70% of the intended residents have already relocated.
He noted, “Beneficiaries began moving in about two weeks ago. The Municipal Chief Executive, Dr. Isaac Dasmani, provided a vehicle to assist with the relocation process.”
Mr. Enyam encouraged those still awaiting their new homes to be patient, assuring them that arrangements are in place to facilitate a smooth transition for everyone.
