Jordan Ayew makes mark at Leicester City: Scores and assists in 4-0 victory over Tranmere

Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew delivered an outstanding performance in his first start for Leicester City, helping secure a 4-0 victory over Tranmere Rovers in the English League Cup.

Jordan Ayew, who recently joined Leicester from Crystal Palace, made an immediate impact by scoring a stunning goal and providing an assist. He opened the scoring in the 38th minute with a powerful strike from outside the box, and later set up Wilfred Ndidi for Leicester’s third goal in the 71st minute.

This impressive display on Tuesday night signals a promising future for Jordan Ayew at Leicester, as well as for the Ghana national team, as both prepare for their upcoming seasons.

Leicester’s second goal came from Stephy Mavididi, who converted a penalty in the 51st minute after Ricardo Pereira was fouled in the box. Wilfred Ndidi finished from close range following a clever flick from Ayew, while Harry Winks sealed the victory with a powerful shot from the edge of the box.

The match also featured a minute’s applause in memory of former Leicester manager Sven-Goran Eriksson, who passed away on Monday.
