Nduom claims the state owes him over GHC7.1 billion including interest
Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Global President of Groupe Nduom, has reiterated that the state owes him over GHC7.1 billion, including interest.
Speaking at a press briefing in Accra, Dr. Nduom asserted that the government is aware of the debt, although there may be disputes over the exact amount and interest.
Dr. Nduom also announced his decision to temporarily pause the “Bring Back GN Bank” campaign in September.
He plans to embark on a nationwide tour of the 300 branches of the defunct GN Bank, following a previous visit to branches in the Northern region.
The tour is intended to galvanize support from petitioners advocating for the restoration of GN Bank’s license, which was revoked by the Bank of Ghana in 2019.
He plans to resume his campaign in November, after a period of strategic planning and reflection.
The Bank of Ghana recently defended its decision to revoke GN Bank’s license, citing significant regulatory breaches and the bank’s failure to comply with key financial regulations and banking standards, which posed a threat to its operational stability.
