The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has warned Ghanaians to approach the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) manifesto with caution, urging citizens to critically examine the promises made by the ruling party.

During the NPP’s manifesto launch on Sunday, the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, presented a series of bold and innovative proposals aimed at addressing the country’s key challenges.

He highlighted several initiatives already implemented by his administration, alongside new policies designed to bring relief to Ghanaians.

However, the NDC has expressed skepticism, dismissing the NPP’s manifesto as lacking originality and clarity.

The party’s Deputy National Organiser, Elikem Kotoko, criticized the proposals as “bold confusion,” arguing that the NPP’s promises are merely recycled ideas lacking thorough analysis.

Kotoko particularly questioned the feasibility of the NPP’s pledge to reduce import duties in Ghana to levels lower than those in Togo, challenging the practicality of such a promise without detailed justification.

He emphasized that the NDC is focused on offering coherent and actionable solutions rather than making empty promises.

The NDC urged Ghanaians to carefully scrutinize the NPP’s manifesto and assess the viability of its assurances before accepting them.

The NPP manifesto promises have sparked debate, with the NDC questioning the substance and feasibility of the proposals put forward.
