Wassa East District Takes Major Step in Road Improvement with New Equipment
The Wassa East District Assembly, under the leadership of Honorable Emmanuel Boakye, District Chief Executive, received a consignment of equipment to kickstart the District Road Improvement Programme, DRIP.
The Western Regional Minister, Honorable Kwabena Okyere-Darko Mensah, presented the equipment to the District Assembly. This marked a significant milestone in the government’s efforts to enhance road infrastructure in rural and peri-urban communities.
The District Road Improvement Programme aims to empower local authorities to upgrade their road networks, improve connectivity, facilitate economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for residents.
Honourable Emmanuel Boakye, on behalf of the Wassa East District, expressed profound gratitude to President Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for their visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to transforming Ghana’s road network.
With this equipment, work is expected to commence promptly on rehabilitating deteriorated roads within the district, bringing relief to commuters and boosting economic activities.
