Wassa East Constituency: NPP Parliamentary Candidate Launches Campaign Team Ahead of 2024 Elections
Lawyer Mona Gertrude Effah, the aspiring Member of Parliament for Wassa East Constituency, yesterday launched her campaign team, marking a significant milestone in her bid for the 2024 general elections.
Addressing the conference, Lawyer Mona emphasized the need for unity and support from all stakeholders, stressing that she cannot achieve her vision for the constituency alone.
She pledged to prioritize supporting farming communities and agriculture-based businesses, Prioritizing roads, healthcare facilities, and economic infrastructure amongst others.
Lawyer Mona vowed to depart from the intimidation and neglect of the past, promising a leadership that uplifts and supports the people of Wassa East.
” Wassa East needs someone with a vision and who is ready to push for development in the constituency. Without having a person to fight to bring infrastructure development to Wassa East, it may not augur well for us,
I know how important healthcare is important to development, that is why I have set up a CHPS compound here. When I become an MP, I will ensure, that constituents get access to good health infrastructure,
As for the youth who want to further their education, there are scholarship schemes for them. All we need to do is to identify all the brilliant but needy students and award them these scholarships,” She asserted.
Hon. Emmanuel Boakye, District Chief Executive of Wassa East, echoed Lawyer Mona’s sentiments, urging party members to put aside their differences and work together to achieve the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) goal of “Breaking the 8” in the 2024 polls.
Mr Ndede Siah, Western Regional Chairman for the NPP, emphasized the need for a change in attitude among the party faithful, stressing the importance of collective effort and unity in securing victory in the 2024 elections.
Hon. Wilson Arthur, three-time Parliamentary Candidate for Wassa East on the NPP ticket, graced the occasion, pledging his support for Lawyer Mona’s campaign.
He vowed to work tirelessly to eliminate inhumanity and promote development in the constituency.
