President Promises Completion of Takoradi PTC Interchange

In an attempt to enhance infrastructural development in the Western region, President Nana Akuffo has announced the completion of the PTC interchange before ending his tenure in office.

The construction of the Takoradi PTC interchange, a three-tier project which started in 2021 and was initially scheduled to be completed within 30 months, had stalled since last year.

The stalled project was attributed to some challenges the government was facing due to this Debt exchange programme with the International Monetary Fund, IMF making creditors withdraw their support for the contractors.

However, during the inauguration of the GNPC headquarters in Takoradi, the President gave an assurance of completing the project through the Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon. Francis Asenso Boakye.

” I want you to know that the new Minister for Roads and Highways, (Bantama) Asenso Boakye is committed to completing the PTC interchange before I leave office. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the chiefs and people in the Western region for their strong support and patience throughout this journey,” The President said.
