Independent Candidates Need Passcode to Access Nomination Forms – EC
The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that all independent candidates running for presidential and parliamentary positions should contact the commission to obtain a passcode.
In a statement signed by Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Chairman of Operations, the Commission explained that the passcode will grant candidates access to download the presidential and parliamentary nomination forms from the Commission’s website.
Mr. Samuel Tettey also noted that the Commission will accept nomination forms from all candidates between Monday, September 9 and Friday, September 13, 2024.
Meanwhile, the EC has announced that candidates running for the presidential position must pay One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢100,000) when submitting their nomination forms. Female candidates and individuals with disabilities are required to pay Seventy-Five Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢75,000).
