NPP’s Richard Ahiagbah in stable condition after serious accident

Richard Ahiagbah, of the NPP, is reportedly in stable condition and responding well to treatment following a serious accident near Konongo.

Richard Ahiagbah, the Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is reportedly in stable condition and responding well to treatment following a serious accident near Konongo.

The incident occurred early Saturday morning around 1:30 am on the Kumasi-Accra highway near Aduapompo while Ahiagbah was traveling to Kumasi for a scheduled event.

According to preliminary reports, Ahiagbah was the sole occupant of his vehicle when it collided with an articulated truck. The severity of the accident prompted immediate medical attention, and Ahiagbah was subsequently transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for further treatment.

In an official statement released on Sunday, July 28, the NPP’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, confirmed Ahiagbah’s stable condition. “Mr. Ahiagbah is in a stable condition and is responding positively to treatment. The attending doctors have advised limiting visitors to ensure Mr. Ahiagbah receives adequate rest during his recovery,” the statement read.

The NPP extended its gratitude to Ghanaians for their overwhelming support and prayers during this challenging time. “The NPP expresses its heartfelt gratitude to all well-meaning Ghanaians for their overwhelming love and well wishes. The party appreciates everyone’s earnest prayers and support during this time,” the statement added.

On Sunday, Justin Kodua Frimpong, accompanied by other party executives, visited Richard Ahiagbah at KATH to check on his condition and offer their support.
