The Ministry of Education has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) by establishing educational institutions from kindergarten through secondary school levels.

These institutions aim to equip students with skills in applying scientific and technological methods to address societal challenges.

Among the upcoming schools are the Accra STEM Academy, Sunyani STEM Academy, and Bosomtwe Public School, scheduled for commissioning in September.

Speaking at the inauguration of the new cybersecurity, digital forensic, STEM, and artificial intelligence laboratory at Wisconsin University, Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum outlined plans to introduce advanced technological tools in secondary schools to bolster STEM education.

Dr. Adutwum announced the establishment of new STEM schools nationwide, including Junior High schools equipped with STEM labs for biology, chemistry, and physics.

The initiative aims to revolutionize education in Ghana, with several schools set to open in September.
