BECE Exams Commence Smoothly Across Seven Centers in EKMA

The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) kicked off today, with a total of 7 centres hosting candidates from 74 private schools and 20 government schools.

At the TADISCO centre, the lead supervisor, Mr. Thomas Buabin disclosed that there are about 514 candidates, comprising both males and females, who started the exams around 9:20 am.

The centre has 18 invigilators overseeing the conduct of the 11 papers.

Notably, a special child, a girl, is receiving support during the exams.

At the T.T.U centre, under the supervision of 7 officials and 12 assistant supervisors, 2,934 candidates made up of 1,408 males and 1,526 females were registered for the exams.

103 invigilators are ensuring the smooth conduct of the exams.

Miss Gloria Gontor, the Director of Education, Western Region appealed to candidates to arrive early tomorrow, as some were late today due to vehicular traffic.

She emphasized the importance of candidates being seated at exactly 9 am.

Overall, the BECE exams have commenced successfully, with candidates and officials alike expressing optimism for a hitch-free exercise.
