The National Service Scheme (NSS) has released arrears for April following a strike declaration by personnel of the scheme.
On July 3, 2024, the Concerned National Service Scheme (NSS) Personnel Association of Ghana (CONSPAG) announced a nationwide strike, citing unpaid allowances that were affecting their livelihoods.
In a swift response, the National Executive Council of the National Service Personnel Association issued a statement on Wednesday, July 3, confirming that the Secretariat had released the April payments, which are expected to be reflected in personnel accounts by July 5, 2024.
Additionally, the May allowances are anticipated to be paid shortly after the April funds are disbursed. Personnel have been urged to remain calm as outstanding issues are being resolved.
