Prosecutors await Attorney General’s advice in Lil Win’s accident case
Police prosecutors have informed the Asokore Mampong District Court that they are awaiting guidance from the Attorney General’s Office in the case involving actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win.
Lil Win was granted bail of GH¢50,000 with two sureties after his arrest on Monday, June 3, 2024. His arrest is related to a vehicular accident involving the actor, which resulted in the death of a three-year-old boy.
The family of the deceased child has been calling for justice, but the police cited delays in Lil Win’s arrest due to his health condition.
The prosecution has forwarded the case docket to the Attorney General’s Office and is currently awaiting advice.
Lil Win’s legal counsel, Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie, stated that the Attorney General’s advice will determine their next steps. He emphasized that the prosecution must present a case for the defense to address any doubts raised by the police.
The case has been adjourned to July 29, 2024.
