The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has highlighted the crucial role that the Greater Accra Region will play in the 2024 elections in Ghana.
The King of Accra made this statement during a courtesy visit by Nana Kwame Bediako, leader of the New Force Movement, who sought the King’s permission and blessing for his tour of the Greater Accra region.
King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II emphasized the significance of the upcoming election, describing it as the most important in the history of the 4th Republic. He called for a peaceful electoral process, urging Ghanaians to avoid being manipulated into harming one another.
“This year’s election, Accra will decide, Accra will decide, and I want to say that it is the most important election in the whole of the 4th Republic. We need to understand that we are Ghanaians and must restrain ourselves from being used to hurt each other,” he stated.
The Ga Mantse also stressed the importance of respectful and peaceful campaigning, urging political parties to unite and cooperate. He encouraged active citizen participation in the electoral process to ensure that every vote counts.
Nana Kwame Bediako, in seeking the blessings of the Ga Mantse, promised to promote peace and unity throughout his campaign.
