President Akufo-Addo pledges free and fair December elections
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has pledged to guarantee that the upcoming December 7 elections will be conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner. He assured that no candidate would be imposed on the nation against the will of the people.
During a meeting with the Apostolic Nuncio in Ghana, President Akufo-Addo emphasized that Ghana’s democratic integrity will remain intact after the elections.
He stated that the selection of a leader is the sovereign right of the citizens and that this democratic principle will be upheld under his administration.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has committed to ensuring that the December elections are conducted in a manner that is free, fair, and credible.
He emphasized the rejection of any attempts to manipulate the will of the people to impose a leader. The President stressed that the choice of the country’s leader should be a clear and unqualified exercise of the sovereign will of the populace.
He concluded by stating that every effort will be made to ensure the elections accurately reflect the true will of the people.
