Director Hafiz thrilled about role in NEYO’s ‘2 million Secrets’ music video
Ghanaian filmmaker Salifu Abdul Hafiz, known professionally as Director Hafiz, has expressed his excitement about his involvement in NEYO’s latest music video, “2 Million Secrets.”
In an interview with PkB of Pluzz 899fm, Director Hafiz discussed his role in the project’s technical department, emphasizing the valuable learning experience gained from the production.
He highlighted the significant scale of the production in terms of budget, crew size, equipment, and workflow, noting that it presented new learning opportunities he hadn’t encountered before in Ghana.
Reflecting on his experience on set over three days, Director Hafiz praised NEYO as a pleasure to work with, mentioning their discussions about Ghana and hinting at upcoming collaborations.
He described the production as one of the best in his career so far, emphasizing the wealth of knowledge he acquired.
When asked about his aspirations to work with international artists, Director Hafiz expressed a keen interest in collaborating with Lil Wayne and Chris Brown in the future.
He admired Lil Wayne’s openness to creativity and unconventional ideas and noted Chris Brown’s reputation as a director, making them his top choices for future projects.
“2 Million Secrets” was directed by NEYO himself, co-directed by Christian Gilchrist, and features actress Deborah Ayorinde.
Cinematography credits go to Arran Green, a renowned British Director of Cinematography known for his contributions to the film industry.
