Bryan Acheampong, Minister of Food and Agriculture and owner of Rock City Hotel has affirmed the hotel’s robust financial standing and capacity to purchase a 60 percent stake in four hotels owned by the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT).

This statement comes in response to allegations from Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu, questioning the hotel’s profitability.

The hotels involved in the transaction are Labadi Beach Hotel, La Palm Beach Hotel, Royal Ridge Hotel, and Busua Beach Hotel.

In an interview, Bryan Acheampong addressed concerns about the hotel’s financial health, emphasizing its capability for such a significant transaction.

He highlighted that Rock City Hotel grows on the support of its investors and stakeholders and is fully equipped to enter into the transaction, as evidenced by the documentation presented to SSNIT.

Acheampong further elaborated on the hotel’s scale and expansion plans, noting that Rock City Hotel currently operates 1,000 rooms in Kwahu, with plans to add another 2,000 rooms within the next two to three years, making it the largest hotel in Africa.
