One dead in land guard attack at Ga South construction site
One person has been reported dead and three others injured following an attack by land guards at a construction site in Tebu, within the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.
According to Citi News’ Calvis Tetteh, the armed land guards demanded a digging fee of GHC4000 from the workers. The workers informed them that they had already paid another group of land guards on Thursday.
When their demand was denied, they fired sporadically, resulting in one death and three injuries.
This incident occurs just weeks after a soldier was shot dead by a man identified as Benlord Ababio at Millennium City in Gomoa Fetteh, Central Region.
The soldier, Lance Corporal Danso, was driving his Toyota RAV4, registration GR 3591-24, when he was shot from behind following a dispute over the ownership of a half plot of land.
