New Patriotic Party has announced that it will not station agents to observe the ongoing vote transfer process

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has decided not to deploy agents to monitor the ongoing vote transfer exercise, in compliance with the Electoral Commission’s (EC) directive.

This directive was issued after violence broke out at some centers. However, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has chosen to defy the EC’s directive and will continue to deploy its agents.

According to NPP Director of Elections, Evans Nimako, the NDC’s actions may disrupt the EC’s plans and are unnecessary, as the presence of agents won’t prevent voters from transferring their votes.

Nimako expressed confidence in the NPP’s chances of winning the election, stating that the party has a strong presence at all polling stations and that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win massively on December 7, 2024.

He also dismissed the NDC’s claims of collusion between the NPP and EC, citing the party’s past election victories under different EC leadership.
