NPP parliamentary candidate for the Shama constituency, Isaac Kwamina Afful, highlights the impact of Lower Pra rural bank on Shama community development

Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Isaac Kwamina Afful, has cited reasons for which the Lower Pra Rural Bank was established.

According to him, improving the standard of living of the constituents as well as the development of the Shama township is paramount to the progress of the Bank.

He said that through his efforts, the Shama community and its environs have benefited from the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Bank.

He also said that the Shama District has witnessed some development through his efforts and the bank’s.

” I grew up here in Shama, and I felt this Bank was set up to create community development, so when I took over it was one area, I gave the necessary attention, that let us develop the Community, one the community is developing the people will also develop, and the bank will grow. So that has been the secret. I just indirectly developed the Community, and grew the people, once their businesses were making progress, the bank was also growing.

When I took over the bank, it was collapsed, so there was nothing to credit the bank with. It was through my effort that this Bank has come far.

And before a project is done somebody has to initiate it, and most of the initiation was done by me. I go to the Board and convince them on why we should put up a washroom at Aboadze. I didn’t come just like that.

I spearheaded it, it was through my innovation that Shama is experiencing development. There are some of the projects the bank finances it, and there are others I also use my money,” He said.
