The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has documented approximately 31 new COVID-19 cases in the country over the past week.
Dr. Kwame Amponsah-Achiano, Programmes Manager at the Expanded Programme on Immunization at the GHS, noted that these cases are not severe.
Speaking to the media in Accra, Dr. Amponsah-Achiano announced that the GHS will initiate a vaccination campaign on Sunday, May 5, aimed at curbing the spread of the virus.
He emphasized the need for continued vaccination efforts, stating that COVID-19 is now a persistent challenge.
