Former President Mahama honored with African Advancement Award for exemplary leadership

Award

Former President John Dramani Mahama, on Saturday April 13, received the African Advancement Award for exemplary leadership at the 2024 African Heritage Awards Ceremony in Lagos Nigeria.

Mahama was celebrated at Africa Heritage Awards for his exemplary leadership in Ghana and Africa as a whole.

Speaking at the second edition of the Afro-heritage Conference and Awards in Lagos, Mahama was magnanimous to dedicate the award to his team members who have been helpful thus far.

“I dedicate this award to the team that help me day and night thinking through the challenges that we had as a country”.

He further said, “There’s no school that you go to, to learn how to be a President, when the mantle falls on you, you need to leverage everything that you have learnt in your growing up to help you to be successful as a President”.

The idea for a prestigious and significant award is to honor people of African heritage who have distinguished themselves.
