The Parliamentary Candidate for the National Democratic Congress, NDC, in the Shama Constituency, Emelia Arthur, has donated sporting equipment as well as an amount of money to 7 zonal schools within the Shama district.
This move, she said, is to motivate schoolchildren to engage in an inter-school football competition.
The sporting equipment totalling GHc 13,500 includes a set of jerseys, bags of sachet water, footballs, football hoes, and an amount of GHC 500 for each school.
The beneficiary schools are Bronikrom, Anto-Aboso, Shama Junction, Supo Dunk, Aboa-Abuesi, and Inchaban.
Madam Emelia Arthur further disclosed that there is a prize for the school that emerges as a winner in the competition.
The Zonal executives, the district directorate, and the schoolchildren expressed their gratitude to Madam Emelia Arthur and wished her well in the December 7 polls.
