UCC LECTURER CAUTIONS OKUDZETO ABLAKWA OVER NATIONAL CATHEDRAL
Professor Osei Kwarteng, a lecturer at the University of Cape Coast History Department, has asked the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa to be cautious in criticizing the government on the construction of the National Cathedral.
Speaking to Obeng Darko Ampeng, host of Adzekyee Mu Nsem on Spice 91.9 FM, Professor Kwarteng notes that the legislator is inviting calamity on himself and his constituents.
Yesterday, March 6, the MP for North Tongu mobilized his colleagues and the media to engage in an exercise that could be best described as the commission of the infamous uncompleted National Cathedral.
The legislator had earlier indicated to commission the project on behalf of the president as a gesture meant to highlight the government’s perceived failure to complete the project.
Professor Kwarteng urged critics to stop the opposition and contribute funds to the construction of the cathedral to attract the blessings of God.
“Despite North Tongu being the stronghold of NDC, something is going to happen to him. God used the dam spillage to teach him a lesson. I want to use your medium to tell them to stop the opposition. I tell always people to contribute to the construction of the cathedral if they want the blessings of God.
