Revocation of 24 DCEs’ Appointments: Social Commentator Criticizes Move, Citing Potential Disruption to Ongoing Projects

A social commentator, Charles Mintaba, says the revocation of some 24 district chief executives in the country comes as a bad move.

According to Mr. Mintabah, the President has got it all wrong concerning the fact, that the NPP administration has only one year to end its tenure in office.

Mr. Mintabah believes the dismissal of DCEs will stall the ongoing projects in their jurisdiction.

He mentioned that the new DCEs will have limited time to work to correct the mess created by their predecessors.

Mr. Mintabah was of the view that President Akuffo Addo could have made the changes to DCEs before the NPP Parliamentary Primaries.

Mr. Charles Mintabah spoke in an interview on Spice FM with Ampem Darko.

Meanwhile, the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Daniel Kweku Botwe, has rejected speculations connecting the recent dismissal of 24 District Chief Executives by President Akuffo-Addo to their alleged non-support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s presidential aspirations.
